7 Chakras and their Relationship with Colors

Have you ever realized the significance of different colors in your life? Some of you might have and others might not have. But its true colors play an important role in maintaining the body and health balance.

We all know the visible light of the Sun consists of 7 colors. These colors reach from our Solar system to the Earth and also to our body. These seven colors are collectively called VIBGYOR, where:

  1. V is for Violet
  2. I is for Indigo
  3. B is for Blue
  4. G is for Green
  5. Y is for Yellow
  6. O is for Orange
  7. R is for Red

Each of the colors enters into our body from a specific entry point or we can say from 7 different Chakras. Read below about 7 Colors and their related Chakras and the functions of these Chakras. 

Violet Color

Violet color enters into our body from Crown Chakra, also called Sahasrara chakra, and is situated at the crown of the head. This chakra is concerned with the Brain. This chakra is Violet in color and It is the seat of high consciousness.

Indigo Color

Indigo color enters into our body from 3rd Eye Chakra, also called Ajena chakra, and is situated between the eyebrows, behind the center of the forehead. This chakra is concerned with Intuition. This chakra is indigo in color and It is center for wisdom and intuition.

Blue Color

Blue color enters into our body from Throat Chakra, also called Vishuddhi chakra, and is situated behind the throat. This chakra is concerned with communication and voice. This chakra is blue in color and represents the Ether element.

Green Color

Green color enters into our body from Heart Chakra, also called Anahata chakra, and is situated at the center of the chest. This chakra is concerned with emotion and love. This chakra is green in color and represents the Air element.

Yellow Color

Yellow color enters into our body from Solar Plexus Chakra, also called Manipura chakra, and is situated behind the Navel. This chakra is concerned with relationships. This chakra is yellow in color and represents the Fire element.

Orange Color

Orange color enters into our body from Sacral chakra, also called Svadhisthana chakra, and is situated at the lower abdomen behind the genital organ. This chakra is concerned with creativity and vision. Through this chakra, unconditional love is set. This chakra is Orange in color and represents the Water element.

Red Color

Red color enters into our body from the Root chakra, also called Muladhara chakra, and is situated at the base Spine. This chakra is concerned with survivability as well as the physical and mental status of our body and mind. This chakra is Red in color and represents the Earth element.

The human body is also made up of seven principal colors of light rays, which proves the presence of chakras in our body. These light rays influence our endocrine glands. These light rays by condensation offer all required materials for the continuation and subsistence of human life.

All kinds of foods are composed of the seven principal colors of light rays (VIBGYOR) and the energy value of the foods varies according to the composition of these colors.

How to Activate Chakras by Eating different Colour Fruits

All elements are due to the condensation of these colors, which means life exists only because of these colors, which are the source of the elements.
